A lovely Sunday morning. Three experiences. One lovely bookstore. 

This edition of the Pages & Pal Book Barter packs in a super-fun Structured Thinking Workshop by Little Owls.  Young readers then engage in a thoughtfully designed Ruskin Bond-special story activity followed by the signature Book Barter. 

The Party Project: 

• Children take on a real-world challenge—planning a party from scratch. They brainstorm ideas, create budgets, assign roles, and pitch their strategy to a client, building creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Sensory Story-Making: 

• Inspired by Ruskin Bond's simple yet magical storytelling style, children learn to create stories using observation and imagination. They begin with a simple idea, then weave in a sound, an animal, and an emotion to bring their story to life.
• How it works:
  • The Spark: Children select a Bond-inspired root idea (an unusual walk, a talking shadow, or a quiet afternoon).
  • The Magic Framework: Using our curated sensory toolkit, they will intentionally layer one animal, one sound, and one core emotion into their narrative.
  • The Takeaway: A beautiful, self-authored keepsake page that proves you don't need a massive plot to write a masterpiece—just a heart that notices the world around you.

The Book Barter: 

• Bring a favourite book, share why you love it, and exchange it for someone else's treasured read. A fun way to discover new stories and build confidence in sharing ideas.

The Setting: 

• Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, cosy reading corners, great coffee, and a vibrant community of readers—The White Crow Books & Coffee is the perfect backdrop for a morning of creativity, stories, and connection.
