Curated Classes & Activities for Children Kidiaree

The Hindi Play Lab by Razia Khanam | Khar

Arts academy offering music, dance, and theatre programs focused on creative expression, skill development, and joyful learning.

About the Workshop

What if words could jump, sing, and play hide-and-seek? Over five days, Hindi steps out of books and into action — sounds become pictures, pictures become stories, and stories find their way onto a small stage. By the end, children aren't learning the language so much as living in it.

A five-day workshop for children aged 8–12, facilitated by Razia Khanam of Cillo Repertory Theatre. Hindi is the medium, imagination is the only rule. Poems are clapped and whispered, stories walk and laugh — and there are no wrong answers, only new directions.

Playing with sounds and words

Language as something felt and heard — before it's read or written.

  • Hindi sounds and rhythms explored through movement and expression
  • Words brought to life through the body, voice, and imagination

Stories and performance

From a single word to something worth performing — the whole journey, in five days.

  • Building narratives from images and ideas rather than grammar rules
  • Poems experienced through clapping, whispering, and movement
  • Small performances where each child's story gets its moment

What your child takes away:

  • A more confident, expressive relationship with Hindi
  • Stronger listening, imagination, and storytelling skills
  • The ability to use language creatively, not just correctly
  • A performance — their own story, brought to life
