Common Room is an online platform that offers fun and engaging creative writing courses and resources for children of ages 7 to 15.
Traditionally, a common room is a shared lounge, often attached to dorm rooms in boarding schools, where students socialise, have late night study sessions, host house parties and engage in other after school activities. Drawing inspiration from this much loved space, Common Room is an initiative to create a shared virtual learning space for young learners, to engage in magical learning experiences.
The Young writers course is delivered by Miss Anjaly, the founder of Common Room, and a Cambridge certified teacher of English. She holds a postgraduate degree in English Literature and has taught English in schools, colleges, corporates, and institutes of higher education before embarking on her own venture.
Through her set of specially curated online courses at Common Room, and as part of her career at The Hindu and British Council, she has trained over a thousand students, from different parts of the world.
