About the Class

Our Phonics Trial Class is a focused, stress-free session designed to assess your child’s current reading level, phonics knowledge, and learning pace.

The session introduces children to phonics skills such as letter–sound correspondence, accurate pronunciation, blending sounds to read words, and basic decoding strategies. Children work through guided reading tasks, word-building activities, and simple comprehension checks in a calm, supportive setting.

The trial is conducted through structured activities and guided practice, allowing the educator to observe how the child applies phonics rules, recognises patterns, and approaches unfamiliar words.

This session also helps identify specific learning gaps and determines the most suitable phonics pathway for your child.

Trial Outcomes:

The trial is designed to introduce the child to:

  • Clear understanding of letter sounds and phonics rules
  • Improved blending and decoding skills
  • Better pronunciation and word recognition
  • Increased confidence in independent reading

Note:
This is an introductory trial class focused on understanding your child’s comfort and readiness for structured phonics learning.
