About the Program: My First App – Build Your Own Mobile Applications

My First App is a hands-on program where children learn to design, build, and publish their own mobile applications. Using the beginner-friendly Thunkable platform, students turn ideas into real, downloadable apps while learning practical coding and app development skills.

What Children Will Learn:

  • Understanding app components and screen layouts
  • Using colour, text, images, and canvas creatively
  • Text-to-speech and speech recognition features
  • Applying logic with math operators and conditions
  • Working with timers, lists, and data viewers
  • Designing utility, quiz, and productivity apps
  • Building real-world apps that can run on mobile phones

Program Structure:

  • Level 1 introduces app basics such as colour learning, sound-based apps, drawing, simple calculators, quizzes, and basic logic-based apps.
  • Level 2 builds on this foundation with advanced apps like speech recognition, translators, simulations, music and chat apps, to-do lists, habit trackers, and utility-based applications
