All Aboard the Drama Express and The Puppet Company | Khar

Arts academy offering music, dance, and theatre programs focused on creative expression, skill development, and joyful learning.

About the Workshop

A thoughtfully designed, 5-day performing arts experience for young learners!

Give your child the opportunity to find their voice and bring stories to life through the perfect blend of drama and puppetry. This curated combination of two expert-led sessions allows children to stay immersed for longer, and explore multiple forms of expression.

Session 1: The Drama Lab – All Aboard the Drama Express (10:30am to 11:35am)
In this session, children are gently introduced to the world of performance through:

  • Drama- voice, expressions, body language
  • Storytelling- learning how to express thoughts clearly and confidently
  • Movement- Rhythm, coordination & body control

Through acting, mime, rhythm, and movement, children learn how to express emotions, and bring characters to life—all in a fun, pressure-free environment.

Session 2: The Puppet Company – Bringing Stories Alive (11:50am to 1:00pm)
This hands-on session takes storytelling a step further by helping children:

Children create their own character, or choose the ones from their favourite stories!

  • Understand how to use voice, movement, and imagination through puppetry
  • Build narratives by acting out stories using their creations

Puppetry is a powerful tool that equips even the shyest children to open up, as the puppet becomes their voice.
