This Screen-Free Binary Coding Workshop introduces children to the basics of how computers think and communicate using binary code (0s and 1s) without any screens or devices. The focus is on helping children understand ideas behind coding, not just using technology.
Through simple explanations and hands-on activities, children are gently introduced to binary coding in a way that feels playful and easy to grasp. They explore concepts like how information is represented, how codes work, and how messages can be created using just two symbols
Children will learn
- Learn an introduction to binary code through guided discussion and activities
- Code their own name in binary, helping them connect abstract concepts to something personal and fun
- Create a binary bracelet, reinforcing coding concepts through creativity and play.
